
4th Convocation Ceremony
PAMO University of Medical Sciences held its 4th Convocation Ceremony in a grand and reflective atmosphere, celebrating the academic achievements of its graduating students and reaffirming its dedication to producing excellent and responsible healthcare professionals.
In her opening remarks, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christie Mato, warmly welcomed all dignitaries, parents, guardians, staff, and graduating students to the historic event. She noted that the convocation marked a significant milestone in the lives of the graduates and in the continued growth of the university.
Prof. Mato expressed profound appreciation to the Government of Rivers State for its unwavering support of education, particularly through the ongoing Rivers Indigene Scholarship Program. She acknowledged that the scholarship has positively impacted many students by increasing access to quality education and empowering the next generation of professionals from the state.
Addressing the graduating students, the Acting Vice-Chancellor urged them to uphold the values instilled in them throughout their academic journey at PAMO University. She encouraged them to be worthy ambassadors of the institution, carrying forward the culture of excellence, discipline, and integrity that the university stands for.
Prof. Mato also paid glowing tribute to His Excellency, Sir Dr. Peter Odili, the visionary founder of PAMO University. She appreciated his foresight in establishing the university and commended his continued commitment to academic and institutional excellence. His enduring efforts, she noted, have positioned PAMO as a leading center of medical education in Nigeria.
The ceremony served not only as a celebration of academic accomplishment but also as a moment of gratitude and renewed commitment to the university’s mission of delivering world-class education rooted in ethics, service, and excellence.
