
2024/2025 Orientation Ceremony
PAMO University of Medical Sciences formally welcomed its newest cohort of students at the 2024/2025 Orientation Ceremony, held on campus with an atmosphere of enthusiasm and promise. The event marked the beginning of a new academic journey for the freshmen and offered them insight into life at the institution.
The Chairman of the Transition Committee, Prof. Kareem I. Airede, warmly welcomed all freshmen to the university on behalf of the institution’s leadership. In his address, he congratulated the students on their successful admission and encouraged them to approach their academic journey with seriousness, discipline, and an open mind.
Prof. Airede expressed deep gratitude to the Government of Rivers State for its continued investment in education, particularly through the Rivers Indigene Scholarship Program. He highlighted the importance of the initiative in supporting deserving students and enhancing access to quality education for indigenes of the state.
Speaking directly to the new students, he urged them to take full advantage of the resources and support systems available at PAMO University. He specifically advised them to familiarize themselves with the student handbook, describing it as a vital guide to understanding the university’s rules, academic standards, and code of conduct.
In addition, Prof. Airede paid tribute to the Founder and Pro-Chancellor of the University, His Excellency, Sir Dr. Peter Odili, appreciating his vision and foresight in establishing PAMO University of Medical Sciences. He acknowledged Dr. Odili’s continued commitment to excellence, which has helped to shape the university into a leading institution for medical education in Nigeria.
