N5 MILLION CASH AWARD FULFILLED BY THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF RIVERS STATE, HIS EXCELLENCY CHIEF BARR. NYESOME EZENWO WIKE, CON, GSSRS, POS-AFRICA

The Pro-Chancellor of PAMO University of Medical Sciences (PUMS), His Excellency Sir Dr. Peter Odili, CON, KCSGG, GSSRS, KSJI conveyed the fulfillment of the Rivers State Governor’s promise of N5,000,000 cash award to the best graduating students of 2021 class on Friday, 19th August, 2022 from the Departments of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Physiology
“We are here to convey the fulfillment of the Governor’s promise” he said.
The Pro-Chancellor, in his address commended the Rivers State Governor, His Excellency Chief Barr. Nyesome Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, POS-Africa, for the fulfillment of his promise to the best graduating students and for his generous supports to the institution since inception.
He further stated that the beneficiaries of these awards are also beneficiaries of the Rivers State Government Scholarship which shows that the university is built on integrity.
In addition, the Pro-Chancellor, His Excellency, Sir Dr. Peter Odili, CON, KCSGG, GSSRS, KSJI offered the beneficiaries immediate employment as Graduate Assistants here at PAMO University of Medical Sciences.
He also encouraged the other students to work hard, and further assured them that similar reward awaits them.

Hon. O. K. Chinda, Member of the House of Representatives for Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency of Rivers State and Member of Council, PAMO University of Medical Sciences, presented the gift of five (5) million naira to each of the four best graduating students in the departments of:
- Anatomy: Miss. Fubara Blessing Tamunoibelema (1st Class)
- Biochemistry: Legbrosi Prosper Great (2nd Class Upper)
- Pharmacology: Davies Isosiya Silver (1st Class)
- Physiology: Buduburisi Rejoice Buduchim (2nd Class Upper)
Honourable O. K. Chinda further appreciated the governor or Rivers State, His Excellency Chief Barr. Nyesome Ezenwo Wike for investing much in human capacity development, and he also encouraged other students to work hard and make the University and their families proud.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Michael Fidelis Diejomaoh
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Michael Fidelis Diejomaoh, in his vote of thanks immensely appreciated the governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Chief Barr. Nyesome Ezenwo Wike for his continues support to the University and the award of scholarship that cut across different families in Rivers State. “Indeed the governor is a man of integrity, he has fulfilled and is still fulfilling all the promises he made to the students and the University”, he said.
The Vice-Chancellor also appreciated the Pro-Chancellor, His Excellency, Sir Dr. Peter Odili, CON, KCSGG, GSSRS, KSJI for granting immediate employment opportunity to the best graduating students of PAMO University of Medical Sciences.
